FLC stands for Fall Leadership Conference and You could think of FLC as Interact’s version of a school spirit rally! It is an iconic event that we encourage all of our Interactors to attend, as it really brings everyone from Interact 5170 together (Consisting of 13 areas, over 100 clubs, and almost 7,000 members!) as a great big family. FLC provides a great opportunity for both Area and club bonding, as it is the most attended event by far. |

Sue McKinney - Goodwill games article https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/news-media/goodwill-games Sue is Director of Crila Health, is a California attorney and Vietnam business development consultant, who has been living and working in Vietnam since 1994. Sue has exported thousands of high quality products from Vietnam to well-known American companies such as Costco. Sue is the co-author of an upcoming book, The King’s Herb, based on the history of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine from the 14th century to the present. Sue has had the pleasure of witnessing and taking part in the dynamic economic and social growth that Vietnam has experienced in the past 20 years; and has been the in-country liaison on many Rotary projects there. Active on the Executive Board of Operation Smile Vietnam for 9 years, Sue helped raise the funds to provide facial surgery to nearly 20,000 children. In 2007, American Rotarians traveled to Vietnam for the installation and dedication of the first pediatric ICU in Vietnam’s largest Cancer Hospital – the culmination of a three year project valued at $600,000 which Sue facilitated involving Rotary Districts in the US, Canada and Thailand. Her introduction to Rotary began in 1982, prior to the admission of women in Rotary, when she was selected to participate in the first experimental ladies GSE Team, which went to Holland for 6 weeks. Because Sue lives in a country where Rotary Clubs are illegal, her attendance requirements are met through her many hours facilitating Rotary projects in Vietnam for many clubs and districts. Sue, can you please start by explaining why Rotary clubs are illegal in Vietnam ? |
