DESCRIPTION:Join Your Rotary Club of Los Gatos For A New Project   Santa M
 aria Urban Ministry Donation Drive The Santa Maria Urban Ministry was foun
 ded in 1983 to provide emergency food to impoverished families in downtown
  San Jose\, and it has done so for 38 years.   As an outreach of the mini
 stry of the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino (as is St. Luke’s Church in L
 os Gatos with whom we serve the our homeless)\, Santa Maria provides the u
 nhoused and needy in the San Jose downtown area with bagged lunches\, hygi
 ene kits\, sleeping bags\, and other resources.  They serve people of all
  faiths or none\, and do not discriminate on any basis or proselytize.   
 Clients must show evidence of living within the downtown San Jose zip code
 s to use the Food Pantry\, Farmers’ Market\, Clothes Closet\, but not fo
 r homeless support.   The Ministry also has programs for After School Zoo
 m Homework\, Adult Learning\, Teen Leadership\, Youth Summer Camps\, and p
 rovides free tax help to clients.   For more information about Santa Mari

 ons from our members\, and your families\, neighbors and friends\, of the

 y protein rich: tuna\, peanut butter\, etc.)             Fresh fruit
 s\, vegetables             School and craft supplies.    We anticip
 ate that this will be an ongoing project in the months ahead.  For those 
 interested in helping\, or participating in some of the other Santa Maria 
 projects\, contact Barbara Fishman\, who will be coordinating this project
