Inspiration from Doug Brent:
Last week Doug talked about gratitude from an emotional perspective, and this week he inspired us about gratitude from the scientific perspective with an article by Dr. David Sack.  The full article talks about the different ways in which gratitude can positively effect your life, and adds scientific studies to back that up.

Hosted a Holiday Dessert party at Villa Vassona Tuesday December 17th from 2-3pm, and called on any Rotarians who wanted help to come with her to help give these seniors a nice holiday party.
 
Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker Fall Fundraiser is being held this Friday (December 20th) at 5:45 as the Los Gatos Theater.  Don’t forget it’s a costume contest! Click here to get your tickets!
 
David Wells gave an overview of how to set up an account for the CrabFest to both buy tickets and set up your account for bidding.  Doing this early makes checking out for bidding much quicker at the event. Buying a table is a bit different, please send David or Patti an email if you would like to buy a table so that they can set you up.  If you want to email the flyer to friends it will be out in a club wide email soon.  
 
Henry Vitkovich talked about the mystery cases of wine for the Crabfest provided by Kendall Jackson. They auctioned one half case to benefit the acapella choir from Fisher Middle School providing our entertainment today.
 
New member introduction for Richard Bobis who is being sponsored by John Caldwell – his sometime tennis partner, and his former physician.  
 
Tina introduced our first Corporate Members:  Dr. Michael Grove who is the superintendent of the High School District, and Jane Marashian who is the assistant to the Superintendent, and Carrie Bosco who is Associate Superintendent of curriculum and instruction.  
 
Matt Baldwin introduced our student singers from Fisher Middle school with Cameron Clarno directing. They wowed us with their singing talent on several holiday songs including: Silent Night, Christmas Chopsticks, Good King Wenceslas, That’s Christmas to Me, and The Christmas Song.
