Hal Rosen introduced his wife Lydia. Avis La Grone introduced her daughter Jamie.
February birthdays were celebrated with Dave Downing playing When Irish Eyes are Smiling as well as the traditional Happy Birthday.

Today was the last day to Raise the Paddle. A list was passed around at the meeting.
Crab Fest 2020 was a great success. We raised $69,600! Great job everyone!
Maddie Smith reminded us that First Thursday is this week. We will be at the Los Gatos Lodge for the first time. Join us from 5:30-7:30.
Live Oak Adult Day Services is having an open house February 13 from 4:30-6:30. They are located at the Methodist Church on Church St.
Area 8 is hosting a Rise Against Hunger meal packing on February 29 from 10:00-noon at Monte Vista High School.
On March 11 the Rotary Club of Cupertino is hosting Sylvia Whitlock, PhD as their lunch time speaker. Dr. Whitlock was admitted to the Duarte Rotary in 1978. This violated the RI constitution and the club became an ex-club. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled against RI I 1987 and she went on to become club president. This should be an interesting meeting.
The District is holding a Community Service Project Faire on March 14 from 9:00 – noon at Dryco Fremont. Register by March 7 at www.rotarydistrict5170.org This will be a great opportunity to find out about local projects and meet Rotarians from the district.
Rotaract is hosting their Anniversary Mixer on March 14 from 4:00- 6:00PM at 36551 Fremont Blvd, Fremont. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.tinurl.com/rotaract314
Grant applications for Los Gatos Rotary Charities Foundation are due Feb. 28. Forms are available online.
Saratoga Inner Wheel President Janice LeFevre will be selling tickets next week to raise money for Children’s Myoelectric Limb Project.
Next week’s program is Nan Su who will be speaking on “Wisdom and Humanity from Ancient Chinese Culture”.

While we were waiting for the contest results we did $20 for 20.
- Tina gave $100 for her time at Disneyland.
- Leroy gave in honor of his son’s appointment to a commission.
- Heidi Owens celebrated her big win of the forming of a joint authority with Los Gatos and Santa Cruz to study beach traffic issues.
- Ron Cassel gave $58 for his 58th wedding anniversary and challenged Tom Boyce to do the same.
- Hal Rosen’s son got a permanent job at Dreamworks.
- John Pencer was inspired by one of our speakers and is now getting his trees trimmed.
- Jeff Bartlett celebrated his appointment to the Planning Commission with $100 donation.
Tina shared that we will be sponsoring another international student this year.
Marty invited Jeff to come up to speak about the District Leadership Academy.
Norm Snyder shared that he was in the hospital last week, but is much better now. Glad to have you back Norm.
