Lunch Changes
- Cindy Gentile is stepping down as Lunch Lady since she has taken on the President-Elect role. She is being replaced by the Terri, Tina, and Marjorie team.
- Doug was recruited to explain the new lunch ordering system beginning August 11.
- The club will be sent a weekly link to order directly from Specialty’s Café, with all instructions included. Watch for an email.
Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee presented their annual giving from the spring. From the proceeds of our $2.3M Scholarship Fund, they awarded seventeen $3,000 scholarships to Leigh and Los Gatos High School seniors, for a total of $51,000.
The committee is made up of Jeffrey, who will be replaced by incoming member Marie Rector, Martha Sterne, and new Chair Skip Brewster. This year they received 150 applications, and the schools' committees narrowed the field to 17 students. Each recipient was interviewed and notified they had received a scholarship the same day. Selection criteria included academics, financial need, service, and Rotary involvement as a bonus. Next year they may expand eligibility to include seniors attending technical schools and trade programs in addition to traditional four-year colleges.

RYLA Leadership Program
Jeffrey Barnett presented on the RYLA student leadership program held in Scotts Valley this spring. Our club sponsored six students from Leigh and Los Gatos High School. Attendee Jenny spoke about her experience and expressed her appreciation for the program, where she enjoyed both the workshops and the people she met. She shared that it helped her realize she has great potential.

Seb Frey, the new speaker coordinator, introduced Steve Bamberger of Omnifold for his presentation, AI: Magic, Meaning, and What's Next.
