Other guests included Jeffery B. (guest of Marty F.), Rochelle (guest of Amy P.), and Barbara F. (Marty F.s’ wife)
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • The club will be dark next Tuesday due to the Roast and Toast on the same day.
  • There is a board meeting this Thursday evening.
  • The Seniors of Distinction ceremony is this Thursday at The Terraces at 3:45pm where Suzanne B-G will be honored.
  • Andrew H. thanked Tina O-H for Dinner honoring presidents are her house last night.
  • Carol W. from Los Gatos Morning Rotary announced their 10th annual LG Plein Air event this weekend, Jun 22-23. See her if you would like to volunteer at the event.
  • 20 for 20 included $50 from Patti v.d.B. thanking Andrew for a great year; Julian R. for Leroy, Gae L.T. for Maddie back walking and healthy, and $100 from Greg G. for not being as active with the club as he would like this year due to family commitments.
 
 
 
 
PROGRAM – CLUB ASSEMBLY LED BY INCOMING PRESIDENT, MARTY F.
Marty thanks the club for opportunity to be president and announced officers and board of directors.
 
He urged members to sign up for 4 or 5 committees (sign up sheets were on the lunch tables). Committee options include Programs, Events, Local Service, World Service, Youth, Communications, and Membership. Marty also proposed a new committee called the LGRC Social Groups Committee.
 
Marty’s planned initiatives as president include:
  • Training throughout the year so members are clear regarding club opportunities.
  • Branding the club related to our activities – mainly, youth and world service.
  • Making improvements in the area of Membership such as recruiting and retaining younger members and more members, and adding two new membership categories - family membership and corporate membership.
  • Making an already welcoming club even more welcoming - to make LG Rotary “irresistible”.
  • Demonstrating the power of Rotary and its resources.
  • Acknowledging our success and our members who make things happen.
  • Working in concert with our Rotary neighbors.
  • Supporting Rotary International and Polio Plus Fund.
 
The meeting ended with all members taking a club photo on the back patio of The Lodge.
