- Andrew Howard introduced his summer intern Ian Bates from San Diego. He started a service for helping students with financial literacy joinfli.org.

Inspiration
Anjana Bose discussed the idea of accidental Zen, which appreciates nature, and things as they are with patina and use, and living in the moment. One can find peace and joy and live in the present.
Decor
The St Lukes food pantry eggs donated this week by Kathy and Randy were decorated for the NBA playoffs - Spurs and Knicks.
Mike and Jen Norcia (and Gae) were thanked for successfully hosting the first Tuesday happy hour last week. Photos were shared.

Supper Club
The 2nd supper club date was announced to be June 25 at Opelia. David Karwowski explained a club email will be sent, and after that it is first come, first served for the 12 spots. He encouraged all to try it at some point as a fun way to socialize.

Community Service
Jeff and Lisa formally thanked the Community Service Committee and volunteers that have given 600 hours at 26 different service events this year. They have been active! New this year at the town Fourth of July event will be a Rotary booth with a fun kids activity. See her email to sign up. A creative poem was shared.
Roast and Toast
Doug Brent announced details of the super fun Roast and Toast, our annual year wrap-up to thank outgoing President Paul and recognize some key club contributors. There will be a yummy dinner and a comedy skit too. Always a fun time. See Doug to secure your ticket. Significant others encouraged to attend as well. June 30, 6-8 pm at Shir Hadash. $105/ticket due to rising food costs.
Treasurer’s Report
Dan Snyder and Nathan Pendleton gave a Treasurer’s report on Club Finances, including all revenues and expenses, what are fixed costs, what are negotiable and what has been costing us more. Current dues are $43/month but club expenses last year were $47/month. Many options are being considered how to address this.

- Andrew Howard announced he had 2 kids’ graduations this year, middle school and high school.
- Patti announced a save the date for the fall Great Race Sept 26. She and Art and others are beginning sponsor solicitations.
- Michelle Strachan announced her daughter graduated from UCSC.
- Ron Cassel announced he had a trip to France, Greece and Italy. $100 to the club.
Speaker
The speaker was the esteemed ophthalmologist and our very own Rotarian Dr Marty Fishman, who explained the Seeing Again Guatemala project that our club helps fund in part. More details at www.seeingagainguatemala.org
