Tina noted Paul Johnson was just named Los Gatan of the year by the Chamber of Commerce at their annual gala, and he subsequently got a standing ovation.
Tina announced the Richard King District speech contest for today’s program, thanking Debbie and Mark who chaired it at the district level.

Speaker topics included the importance of gratitude, the power of kindness, sustained humble service versus performative service (finalist), and service thru advocating for the oppressed as neutrality helps the oppressor (finalist). The judges and timers were thanked, the speakers gave short bios, and the winners were announced, and they will move on to the next level.
