President Marty Fishman is in Guatemala so today’s meeting was led by Amy Potts.

We had two visiting Rotarians: Greg from Saratoga and Brenda Davis from San Jose Downtown.
Visitors:  Dan Snyder’s guest, Heidi Owens, of Los Gatos Town Council, was introduced by Carol Abela. John Cowell introduced his guest, friend and former doctor, Richard Bulvis.

Inspiration: Henry Vitkovich asked everyone who had served in a branch of the military to stand so we could recognize and thank them. He reminded us to thank all vets and read a poem about veterans.

Our speaker was Alan Feinberg who developed the Lost Gatos app for self-guided tours of historic Los Gatos. Lots of did you know that…? Download the app, take the tours, you’ll learn some interesting stories about our town for example: Pictured above on the right is Mountain Charley, who wore his hat low to cover the chunk of skull a grizzly bear took in the mountains above town in the 1850’s.

Our speaker next week is marine biologist Shawn Noren, Ph.D. She will speak on Artic Marine Mammal Vulnerability to Climate Change.

Have a great week!
