Inspiration
Dan Snyder shared inspiration from someone he greatly admires, his daughter Allison. Although she struggled in reading and math in her early grades, she persevered, excelled, and is now publishing astrophysics papers that he cannot understand. He encouraged everyone not to give up due to early test results or underestimate the power of education.

Each Rotarian will receive a survey this week to select one member for the committee. In November, there will be a group of ten nominees, from which we will vote again to determine the final five committee members.

Member Spotlight
Cindy introduced the member spotlight as someone with a funny nose that you do not want in your garden, Art Rabitz. Art shared how he met John Colwell in the Good Samaritan ER when John saved his son’s life. He eventually encouraged him to join Rotary. Art was a pediatric dentist for 45 years and often wore a rabbit ear hat. He then showed a clown hat to explain his work spreading cheer in hospitals, and finally his Rotary hat to share how much the club means to him.
