I was honored to be elected President of the Rotary Club of Los Gatos for the 2016-2017 Rotary year. My goal is to ensure that the club continues to flourish. To do this, we will actively recruit new members, schedule multiple community service projects, and conduct fundraising events so that we can give grants to philanthropic organizations. There will also be several social events at which club members and their families & friends can have fun together.

When asked by non-Rotarians “What is a Rotary club”? I reply that each club is a leadership organization involving local business, professional, and civic leaders. We meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and through that, the club is able to get things done in the community.

Rotary is an international community service organization with clubs in over 200 countries. Clubs from different countries frequently cooperate to help with events like disaster relief. Any Rotarian is free to visit any other club anywhere in the world – and will always be made very welcome.

I joined Rotary in 2009 and my membership is now an important factor in my quality of life. My only regret about joining Rotary is that I did not do it sooner.
